# Categories

> The 7 service categories guests use to browse your catalog.

Every service needs one category. Categories are fixed — you can't add custom ones — and they're what guests use to filter your catalog.

| Tours & Activities | Compass            |

<Tip>
  Pick whichever fits how a guest would search for it, not how you organize it internally — a "turndown service" is Housekeeping, a "sunset cruise" is Tours & Activities, and a "private chef" is Food & Drinks even if you think of it as a premium/VIP offering.
